• Ensuring the implementation of tasks and assignments defined by the Ministry in the region;

• Ensuring the execution of the functions of the central apparatus of the Ministry, including its Departments and Divisions, by the relevant sections and specialists of the Regional Department;

• Coordinating the activities of vocational education institutions, regardless of departmental subordination; providing educational, pedagogical, and scientific-methodological guidance; ensuring the quality of training, and alignment of educational content and level with educational and professional standards;

• Studying and improving the organization of the educational process in vocational education institutions, and providing methodological support for the implementation of advanced pedagogical technologies;

• Preparing proposals for the development and improvement of the classifier of vocational education directions, specialties, and professions;

• Organizing cooperation with employer enterprises in the development and gradual improvement of educational standards, qualification requirements, and curricula;

• Monitoring the implementation of regional programs related to scientific activities;

• Initiating and assisting in the implementation of innovative, practical, and startup projects (developments), and coordinating the implementation of the results of such projects, including research and experimental-design works, by scientific organizations and enterprises in relevant sectors;

• Coordinating the activities of organizations, enterprises, and Innovation Activity and Technology Transfer Centers and working groups under local government bodies engaged in scientific and innovative activities in the regions;

• Assisting and monitoring educational institutions in improving the quality of educational activities;

• Coordinating the internal attestation processes conducted by departments of higher education institutions responsible for quality control, as well as the attestation of institutions involved in the professional development and retraining of sector specialists;

• Conducting monitoring of the quality of education and training in the continuous education system within the region.
